For teachers
As a place of extracurricular study, the Museum of Communication is a unique learning environment for students of all age groups. Visiting the museum as part of a school outing or school trip offers a fun place of learning in inspiring surroundings.
If you wish to discuss topics with your class such as face-to-face communication, digitisation or media literacy, the Museum of Communication is the perfect location for you. A multitude of other themes can also be delved into here – particularly in our annual temporary exhibitions.
You should plan to spend ideally 1.5 to 2 hours.

A museum for schools
The Museum of Communication is interested in working with teachers for the benefit of all. The Education and Outreach department examines the needs of teachers (individuals or as a team) and of lecturers and trainees at teacher training colleges.

We also recommend that you read the practical guide “Ein Museum für die Schule - Mit der Schule ins Museum” (only in German).

We would recommend the 15-minute walk past the Federal Palace (Bundeshaus) and Hotel Bellevue, over the Kirchenfeld bridge, past the Historical Museum on the left to Helvetiastrasse.
Or take tram numbers 6, 7 or 8 to Helvetiaplatz (5 mins)
